Overview

XPRL is a version of XML that is being designed for use in the Public Relations sector. It is an ‘open’ initiative which software developers can use to create business-oriented programmes for PR. XPRL is a publically funded initiative.

A steering group has been formed to progress the definition and promotion of XPRL and work with other business organisations in related fields.

The initiative is supported in the UK by the IPR and PRCA, and in the USA by the PRSA.

The Vision document is an organic scoping document for the development of the work of XPRL.org

The XPRL In Practice document is designed to demonstrate how XPRL will work throughout the supply chain.
